Monday Oct 19th 1st day of school!

Ok folks it only took 3 WEEKS to get Michelle into school. I had to get a transfer from the Moreno Valley school she should of attended and that took 1 week. Then I had to get into one of the schools in our district. Yes folks another 2 weeks. We had a orientation last Friday and all the paperwork the day before. After talking to her counselor we got her into the classes she needed. For her senior year she will probably have to take 2 history classes and 1/2 yr of PE to finish Ca requirements. But at least she is. Tonight it was Algebra II and Chemistry homework. Ok folks didn't take either one so when she asked a question about isotopes, I was lost. LOL She will definitely have to get help from her teacher.

New Additions to families

Well as you all know we moved into this lovely house and had 4 bedrooms for just the 2 of us. Well this last weekend that all changed. We now are a family of 3. Yes we added a girl. Well its a new old addition. Lloyd's daughter Michelle moved back with us from Arizona. We are all adjusting to this. No more are we the single married folk with no kids. I am trying to get a transfer so Michelle can go to school in Bellflower where I work. This has been at the Moreno Valley district all this week and not completed yet. Meanwhile Michelle is coming to work with me everyday as we are not leaving her unattended at our home from 4:30am to 5 or 6 pm every day. Well wish us luck in this 2nd attempt, as we all know the 1st one didn't go all that well. Don't worry though you out of town guest will still have a bed. We were planning a nice lil trip up the coast in November or December, but I think that has been changed now. :( We shall see?!

More Firewood!

This is on our side yard! Is it enough?!
Well both trucks have gathered wood now. Gotta love my honey and his strong back. I lifted a total of 2 pieces.

This is a picture in my friend Bill's yard. He knows a guy who cuts down trees. He was kind enough to work out having his friend drop it off at his house cut up small enough for us to handle. It took 2 trips with the lil truck and the last 4 pieces in the trunk of my car. Now its time to rent a log splitter and get this into even smaller pieces. We should have enough wood for this year and if it doesn't get to cold maybe next year also. We do plan on building a fire pit in the back yard so maybe we will need more. Hard to tell but we will know more after this winter.

Firewood!!!

Well I have been looking on Craigs List to find free firewood. Most of it is gone or I don't get a response back. Well this post had been up for 3 days but kept getting relisted so I called. The guy said we could go anytime and we planned for Saturday am. The guy said alot of people were coming so we told him we would be there about 4:30am. After some thought and the terrible thought of not being able to SLEEP IN! I said hey lets go tonight so we finished dinner, late. Ok we were now ready to leave at 9pm. Desert Hot Springs was our destination 45 minutes away but he said he had alot and it was free. Of course I forgot to take my camera with us. he was right he had cut down 3 huge trees and it was in his backyard and the neighbors(who i think were gone..evicted). Mostly the pieces were huge and would of taken 2 guys to even lift. So we took all that was small and they are not really that small. But its a great start to our wood pile. We are also going to build a fire pit in the backyard for evenings outside in the winter. So I'm not really sure what kind of wood this is but the tree stump was huge! So very old tree. I am sure there were alot more small pieces the 1st few days of the post and I can bet he won't even get rid of it all today unless someone is there cutting it up smaller. I am happy though I figure this is probably a couple hundred dollars worth.

Guest Bedroom

Yes the guest bed has gifts on it until I put them away. This of course can be cleared on a minutes notice for you house crashers. lol
This has a bit of a Angel theme to the room.

These are 3 birth announcements of my sister. Somehow I do not have the 4th sisters birth announcement. Unfortunately she died at a very early age so I'm not sure if things were put away as not to remind everyone of her. I think these look very cute on the wall. Maybe I can even add announcements of the children of my sisters. I will have to see if they still have copies of them.

Our 2 girls.

Love the Angels.

I have been picking up pictures to complete the room.

This is over the bed. When I was growing up and stayed at my Grandma Pauline's we had pictures like this and the Lord's Prayer, so I wanted something similar and look what I found! The Lord's Prayer and a girl and boy praying. I was to perfect.

Sat 9/5 Pool Day

What a life! I love my 2 days in Paradise. I work for the weekend and the chance to relax and enjoy.
Willits giving me kisses!

We coaxed them on the raft for a little float.

Sadie wants to be just far enough away that you can't reach her and put her into the water.

We spent the afternoon in the pool. I got burnt and Lloyd got a bit also but he also washed all 3 cars to start his day. Willits loves the water and now will go onto the first step all by himself and with help will go on the 2nd step and then walk around the spa usually to get to Lloyd.
