A Challenge was made

Okay Kelly does a awesome job posting everyday. I love to look at the updates. It is like I am there watching her daughter grow as I watched her grow. My sister Missie posts sometimes and thought she would challenge me since I hadn't posted since the weekend we moved. I am sure you all know what its like to move and unpack and work. Okay I met the challenge and posted several days just tonight so look over the next few days and I will have more. I am up for the challenge my loving lil sister. LOL

Clean Desk

Okay we are using one of the bedrooms for our office. I figured I better take a picture of the desk as it will never be this uncluttered again. really I know exactly whats in each stack, really I do. Okay that's my famous saying. As I sit here and type the stack is about 3 inches on the whole desk top. Really though most of it needs to be filed. I ran out of hanging folders so it's just waiting. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! As Hank Williams Jr says I believe.

1st Weekend was busy

Well we hadn't got in the pool all weekend. Can't have a pool and nit go in it. So about 8pm Lloyd was out cleaning the debris out so we could swim. Okay Sadie hates the pole and net, she barked the whole time Lloyd was cleaning. We were able to get in for about 1/2 hr and even made the dogs get in. Sadie had jumped in the night before but I think it scared her since she couldn't get out yes I saved her and had my shirt drenched from reaching in. Slowly they will learn to love the pool. A few weekends and that should be the case.

New Drinking bowl for the dogs! 6/28

Ok they were going through their lil water bowl to quick or its evaporating. Either way we came up with a great solution today. Walmart and a kiddie pool. It serves as a drinking bowl, and a I'm to hot lets get cooled off pool. Willits loves it so much! Sadie prefers her small bowl.

Sunday June 28th

Time to start unpacking boxes, and more boxes! Every room looks like this. Most of the boxes are in correct rooms thank goodness.

Sat June 27th

Yes I was lining drawers and Lloyd decided to catch a 2 hour nap since he worked all night and it was 11am now. He had been up since 5am the prev day! 30 hours for him and lots of hard work. Ok for me Verizon didn't end up coming until 4pm and finally I got to bed about 9pm. Like 40 hours for me. What a long day but it was worth it!

June 26th Moving Day

Well the plan was for Lloyd to work a half day til 10:30am and then go get truck. I was to work all day and then come home to help at 12:30. Well as you know my husband likes to get IT DONE. So I called into work and took the day off, only after calling 3 other bus drivers to split up my kids! Those darlings have to get to school somehow and it would be to much to think the parents would do it. I have great friends! So Ralph, Lloyd's friend who speaks spanish went to of course Home depot and recruited a wonderful guy named Jesus. He really was wonderful, he worked hard all day. We picked up the truck by 7:15am(got McDonalds) and were back to the house with Jesus and Ralph. We started in the house with all those boxes we prepacked(thank heaven I didn't procrastinate). Lloyd wouldn't let me. LOL. I then took dogs to groomers so they would be out of the way. Back to the house and we loaded up and then out to Moreno valley to unload. I had to then leave to pick up dogs by 3pm. Back to the old house for the next load. Yes sadly a 26 foot truck was not big enough for everything. Even though they say it should move a 3 bedroom house, ha ha ha. 2nd load was garage and items from house that didn't fit on 1st load. The boys got lunch on the way back, which I didn't get cuz i was picking up dogs. By the time they got the next load done it was about 6pm and then on the way back out to Moreno Valley. After unloading the truck we got dinner about 1am.(remember I had breakfast at 7am ONLY). At that point I was willing to eat anything, thank goodness In and Out is open until 2am. I of course know this from much earlier days in my life. Well we dropped off Jesus and Ralph and then went back to the old Whittier house. Yes there were still more to be loaded. We had 2 bikes and canned goods from the garage and all our alcohol. I also had run out of boxes but luckily Bill brought me some a bit earlier in the evening. I know at 1am he wouldn't of answered his phone. by the time we loaded up and got back out to Moreno with the Red Truck and last load it was 3am. Now my bright idea was to get the truck back to Penske by 7am so we only had to pay for 1 day. We showered and left to go back to Whittier by 4am. YES WE HAVE BEEN UP ALL DAY AND NIGHT!!!! We didn't find the drop box at o dark 30 so we had to wait around til 7am when they opened. We did and turned in truck. Now we had to be back out to Moreno Valley by 8am as Verizon was going to be there of course between 8am and 5pm. I decided to stay up and wait and line my shelves and drawers in the kitchen. Jennifer came out and helped.
