Wildlife is Wonderful

On Sunday evening we got into the pool for about 1/2 hr. It was just getting dark and guess what we saw? You will never guess!!... Are you wondering? Are you guessing??? Ok I can't keep this up...... We saw a OWL!!! It flew from one tree to another. It was wonderful to see this in our backyard. Now today Tuesday on the way to the freeway we saw a coyote this morning. This is wildlife week I guess. To top it off on the way home this evening we saw a herd of sheep eating grass in the fields right next to the road being herded by dogs and 1 man. There were at least 2 sets of 2 dogs. 2 by the road or should I say ditch to make sure they don't go that far and then 2 by the man. It truly was something you would see at a movie. So 3 different types of animals in 3 days. Bubba what do you think? I hope you get to see some of these animals also. And we didn't get home in time for unpacking or RR. We had another trip to Home Depot for a lawn mower and weed eater. I also got a medicine cabinet for my bathroom. YEAH A girl needs lots of space for all her junk and that little 18 inch one was just not enough. So now I have a 36 inch one and I think that will work. Yes pictures to come soon. But hey sometimes I had to wait for a month just to see a new blog Missie so a couple of days with no pictures ...mmmm now you know how WE feel. LOL But I do have some cool pictures coming. Like the dogs new drinking bowl. All of you will be on the floor laughing when you see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are IN!!

Ok the last few days have been very crazy. I ended up taking Friday off, so we picked up the truck abput 7:30am. We stopped at McDonalds at 7:15am to start the day off right. I took dogs to the groomers so they would be out of the way. I get a call from the real estate agent that says somethings wrong with the title but go ahead and keep moving in. First load at new house about 12ish. 1:30 I am rushing to leave to go get dogs by 3pm. The boys get lunch at 3pm. I dont get lunch :( We are now back at old place packing 2nd load. We get everything out on 2nd load except for bikes and some alcohol. The guys are unloading it and done by 11:30pm!!!! No dinner yet remember I had breakfast at 7:15am... Now we have to drive back and take the friend and the Home Depot guy back. We drop them and back to the old place for the bikes and alcohol. We get all loaded up by 1:30am and leave to find something to eat. Ok whats open at 1:45am ha ha In and Out of course!!!! So we get dinner at 2am and start our drive home. I am now taking a shower at 4am and we have to head back to Whittier to turn in truck by 7am and back out here by 8am to wait for the Verizon guys who by the way do not show up until 4pm!!!! I was up all day lining shelves and drawers. BY the time the Verizon guys were done it was about 7pm. That was a whole other ordeal. Nothing has gone easy at all. All the cable was taken out of the walls so they ran 1 line that was shared by TV and Internet. The other 2 lines I wanted were going to cost 80.00 times 2. My girlfriend volunteered her husband to come out and run them for me. I know he wont mind to much!? OK now off to Carl's Jr for dinner since we don't have anything in the kitchen unpacked yet. Its been a eat out kind of weekend. I WAS UP FOR 41 HOURS STRAIGHT!!! I will post some pictures soon. I have 1/2 my clothes unpacked so far. We cleaned the old place today but have to go back again tomorrow and fix 2 things.

FUNDED and recording Friday!!! 101 boxes

Well we were funded today at 9:59am I got the call it was done. I double checked with the escrow company and made sure they recvd the funds even. They are going to record on Friday then all the I's are dotted and the T's are crossed. Lloyd is getting off at 1/2 day at 10am to get the truck and then a trip to Home Depot for a worker. Hopefully we get all the house moved as Lloyd's plan is to sleep there Friday night. Well we packed another 23 boxes tonight so I believe that puts us at 101 boxes. Tomorrow or Saturday there will be more boxes once I can get to the dressers in the garage and the shelves of food. Who knew I had this much crap in a little 1 bedroom home. You would never of guessed this much. Pool heater is broken per the gas guy but don't worry we will work on getting it fixed as soon as we can.

Nothing goes without a glitch :(

Ok it was suppose to fund today. Well before it funded they wanted to see the septic tank certification. Ok I had turned this in over 2 weeks ago. They should of had this but oh no they had to request it again from my loan lady. She did forward it to them but there we so many files closing today it didn't make it by the cut off time. Ok folks had I know I would of taken yesterday off signed early and made them fund yesterday. At least then today it would of been funded. So I am assured that it will fund first thing in the morning and can be recorded the same day at of course a small same day fee! Nobody goes without their hand open. It's killing me....... Well we had already planned on going out to the house tonight. So I got off work at noon today and went to Home Depot for just a few things. HA HA When do you ever go to Home Depot and just get a few things. Lets just say I was out of there at 2PM! First on our chore list was putting up a temporary mailbox. We can not get mail unless it is next to the road. So here it is the 9.99 special!

The labels were compliments of my secretary Beth at work as I had already packed my label er. the 2 gentleman in the pictures are our retired neighbors. OK 1/2 at least of the neighbors are retired and then there are also a few kids who all play right across the street from our house. That's ok though they seem really nice and they just play good old fashioned basketball with no load music or even cussing. Its nice to see kids play outside, even a few small ones on bikes.
So Lloyd also washed down all the windows and patio's and walks outside. While I was inside vacuuming all the rooms and Windex all the interior windows. I removed lots of dead flies and cobwebs. We had the gas guy come out as we had no hot water either. A gas company person had come out while no one was there and left a note that everything was fine. FINE I say..mmm .. no hot water means cold shower. This is not happening in my book so I called them back so someone could come out while we were there this evening. The guy was so nice. It ended up that the valve was turned off on top of the water heater not allowing any water out of the new tank. Silly us. He also made sure the fireplace worked:). It looked great with flames in it. Ok now for the bad news we found out tonight..... The heater doesn't work on the pool. Ok this means no hot water in my Jacuzzi. This is not good. So as soon as we move in we will be using that home warranty. I knew we needed it for a good reason and it will pay off. The pump also sprouted a small leak. And the stupid construction people hooked up one faucet backwards. The hot is on the cold side. Silly them so Lloyd will fix that next week. Lloyd also caulked the sliding glass door to our shower as last time I was there and turned on the shower we had a puddle or two on the floor where the water came out of the track. Why is it people who get paid to do a job don't complete it like it should be done. So overall we did get alot accomplished tonight. We will pack the rest of our stuff Thursday night and on Friday here we go. Lloyd is getting off work at 10am to get the truck and start moving. By Saturday we will have everything moved and then the fun begins. Saturday I also have scheduled our Verizon Fios guy. They say it will take 4-6 hours for him to set up tvs and phone with the new fiber optic stuff!!!! Can we say faster Internet and better picture on tv. I will try to post again Thursday night before I unhook everything. With any luck I will be up and running again Saturday evening.

Finally we signed!!

Yes folks we have it! Lloyd got off at 1/2 day today at 10am and did the dog thing and showered and picked me up from work at 12 noon. We drove out to Temecula. Traffic was good so it only took a hour at 75mph! It took about an hour to sign everything and we are done. It should fund tomorrow and then record on Thursday. So keys will be in hand Thursday and the moving truck is ordered. The mileage cost is what will kill you! U Hual wanted 99 cents a mile, I found a place for 35 cents a mile. Since a round trip will be 120 miles and we should have at least 3 trips if not 4. Yes count up those miles ladies, its a killer!!!!!! But it will be the last time I move. I think?! Ok I spell checked this time!!!!!

Tuesday at 1:30pm

Ok we have our appt at escrow at 1:30. I can work my day til 12 noon and Lloyd gets in a 1/2 day and is off at 10am. he will get to come home and shower and go to the bank for the cashiers check. Then he is off to pick me up at work. Drive from Bellflower to Temecula and thehn back to Anaheim to the big A. Yes we have a Angel game. They were on a winning streak and now they have lost a couple again. We were only a 1/2 game out of first place. Now we are 1 game out of 1st place. With any luck we will have keys on Wednesday. At the latest Thursday. We drove out to the house tonight as our landlord was showing our place and since the 2nd dog is a secret..SHHHHH we decided we better get him out of dodge! We measured and made lists of what we need to get started that 1st week. The list kept getting longer and longer. Thank goodness I have been saving my checking account points. I sent away yesterday for 125.00 in Home Depot gift cards. We wont have them in time to move in but I'm sure we will be able to use them whenever they come in. 2-4 weeks. We have to get a mail box first thing so we can get mail. I met the mail lady and she said she would hold any mail we got until we have a mailbox at the edge of the road. Ok folks did I say Rural/Country. We stood out back tonight as we were putting some water in the pool and just looked at the beautiful rocky mountains behind us. This will be a evening event for us I am sure. Relax and look at the mountains!!! I can't wait!!!!!

Docs are at ESCROW

Now to make the appointment!

DOCS ARE GETTING PREPARRED!!!!

Yes folks finally they are getting prepared. I am hoping we can go sign tomorrow and have keys on Wednesday. Then the busy time gets here. I have to get a truck. Lloyd has to find out if his friend is helping or will we get a worker from Home Depot. That's not preferred but I can't lift so whatever it takes!! I got a partial cashiers check today and I will get the balance when they call. I didn't want to have to go to 3 banks when its time. I hope we can jump into that pool, Danielle, SOON!!!

One we really liked

Lloyd really loved the eagle.

Something to pass the time

Well today we went down to Huntington Beach. They were having their first annual trike show from Harley Davidson. They only had 6 bikes entered but they were each very different. This is our next big dream to have a Harley Trike and cruise around. I even joked we needed a trailer to put the dogs in. We really like these and they are very stable and comfortable.

Still no Docs

Ok maybe I am not the most patient but how long does this have to take? First there was the flipping issue then the IRS thing. We signed a paper jointly and we should of also signed individually. I never said we were married both years. I guess thats some of that assuming. I just want to sign those docs and get on with moving. We had a work meeting today so for the month of July I can only work 25 hours a week and then in August bump it up to 40 a week. I was counting on 40 a week starting next week. Well August will be hot and working more go figure. Well atleast I have a job through the summer ..right.....I could be working 0 hours a week! Can we all say come on Docs!!!!

79 boxes and No Docs Yet

This week has been so crazy. 1st we added 1 box to the stack so we are at 79 Boxes and hopefully done packing until the night before when we pack those few items we have kept out to live. I thought we were going to docs, but that wasn't the case. Underwriting thought that it was investor owned and that they were trying to flip the house. I guess you can't buy a house and have it for less than 3 months. This I guess just changed hands between banks a month ago. This took some time to figure out. Then we had signed a form for them to get our taxes. We signed the form jointly but should of signed 1 form each as taxes were done separately. I hope this is the last snag. They have assured me it will only take 1 day in docs. I really want to sign on friday at the latest.

Can we say Docs

We are suppose to go to docs today. I am just waiting for that call to say we are on our way. We had a snag in underwriting they thought the house was being flipped so that slowed things down. They finally got confirmation today that its a repo. So waiting game still!

The country side on the way to freeway

At the end of our street it is wide open land. You could probably travel about 10 miles before there is anything. One day there may be houses but for now its like living in the country. We are the last exit for Moreno Valley. But one exit before our house is a big shopping center with all our favorites like Panda Express, Carl's Jr., Walmart and Target is one more exit before that. We have everything we will need nice and close. There is even a 2.00 theatre down about 4 miles. When you exit for our house we are about 1 mile off the freeway. It is a straight shot at 55 miles per hour and no stops until you turn on our street. This will make it very nice when leaving and coming home from work.

Inside Video Tour of House

This is the video tour of the inside of the house. Hope you enjoy! We wanted to fill the pool a bit and make a house key so some more pictures for our blog today.

pool, backyard view, Willits and Sadie

A view of the pool and our beautiful mountain view from the back yard. Willits is our new Standard Poodle who is 5 months old. Sadie is a Miniture Poodle who is 11 years old.

78 Boxes

We are keeping count. Yes folks we are up to 78 boxes. I actually can't believe I have this much stuff in this little 1 bedroom home. I can't wait for all this stuff to fill a 4 bedroom home then it won't seem like so much stuff. I hope?! Well it should a slower weekend maybe. I so want to sleep in tomorrow. I am guessing I will wake by 6am and not be able to go back to sleep.

The waiting game

I think the only thing accomplished today was the ordering of the home warranty. Lloyd did pack the kitchen today while I worked overtime taking kids to Wild Rivers. When I got home the kitchen was all packed except for a few needed items and dinner was cooked and put on the table when I walked in. How I love a man who cooks. :) Hurry up underwriting department we are READY! We want to hear Docs are ready for signing.

Septic Day June 11th

Well today was finally the day. Yes I was the lucky winner! I got to drive out to the house and experience the septic tank being located, dug up and opened, YES OPENED. Okay when he opened the first lid it smelled and I took 1 step backwards. Well after the 2nd lid was opened boy was it time for a motrin. The headache from the smell. YUCK is all I can say. The guy actually was very nice and I learned his whole family history in 2 hours. I didn't stick around to watch him empty it out. Though it was very tempting! Alas I had to get back to work. My trip back included a CHP robbining to stop traffic to get 3 cars to the right hand side. I still made it back to work with 20 minutes to spare. I also met the pool guy. 2 birds with one drive out there. Thats the kind of business I like. So by next Thursday the pool should be looking a whole lot better. Supposidly they power washed the pool before they filled it. HA HA HA all the dirt was still on the bottom of the pool. The pool guy will vacuum and pump out all the yuck. Thank heaven for someone who will actually do their job. Its amazing how much these contractors charge for not doing anything.

No Packing on my Birthday!!!!! June 10th

No boxes to fill and tape up! I got to come home and have a wonderful dinner prepared of steak, baked potato, and corn. All my favorites might I add. Lloyd even made a couple of stops to complete the day. I was given my card in the morning and it was great. We had agreed no presents since we are waiting for escrow to close. But being the sweetheart that he is. He stopped at Marie Calendars and got a apple pie and then onto the grocery store for vanilla bean ice cream to top it off. Then some beautiful pink roses. i love these that are tipped with a deeper shade of pink. I might have to get this style for my rose garden for the front of the house.

14 More Boxes and OUT of Tape

That makes a grand total so far of 73 boxes and we still have the kitchen to go. We did just a few boxes in the kitchen tonight. OK my house is looking like a overstuffed factory with all these boxes. We bought 3 rolls of packing tape this weekend at Home Depot so I am on my way back there tomorrow for 3 more. I think that will take care of the kitchen and stuff in the garage. I hope so at least. Well tomorrow I don't have anything planned so box hunting I will go again. I hit payload tonight after work at one of the schools I drop off at. They have a small canister just for boxes and paper trash. So yes I was dumpster diving but at least it was clean!(well pretty much, I did find some cooked rice on one of the boxes). Well 1 day down at underwriting, I'm not anxious or anything! I can't wait to relax in a jacuzzi anytime I want. I'll keep you posted on the box count.LOL

7 more boxes packed and We are OUT of boxes

I thought we had enough boxes to last. I was wrong. I have a fieldtrip tomorrow so I cant go hunting for them. Maybe after work for a bit. I will be in LA all day and you know if there is a empty box a bum is in it, LOL Well as soon as I get some more we can finish up packing. Well all the paperwork is done and the loan package is going back to underwriting to dot the i's and cross the t's. Then to escrow to sign we go. I hope by end of the week or beginning of next week we will be done.

52 is the lucky number

Today we packed 52 boxes! Boy were we busy today. And about 8 loads of laundry mixed in. It sure has been a busy long day. I started off the day with motrin and had some more with dinner. I'm sure my arm will hurt for the next few days. Although I was very good and had Lloyd lift and move all the boxes, I still lifted alot of times the light stuff that filled all those boxes. Well we are pretty much out of boxes now. I gathered all these boxes last week. I will be on the hunt again this week for boxes. I refuse to pay for them when I can find them in peoples trash stacks. Most of the boxes were even cut down and stacked. I even found a bunch at a house where they just moved in. I left a note on the door because the boxes were still in the driveway. The lady called me that night and I picked up the boxes. They were perfect boxes for all my cds and movies. I have got pretty lucky with finding them! Well we will see what this week brings!

Were Approved Again

Even though we were approved on the previous house you still have to go all through everything again. Today we got the APPROVAL CALL!!!!! The conditions I had to do are DONE already. I had everything they wanted which wasn't much as I tried to turn in as much as possible.

Lloyds trip to Moreno

Well we had AAA coming out today for a home inspection so we can get homeowners insurance. They are 1 of the few companies that have to inspect first. So Lloyd worked 1/2 day and then met the agent at 11am. We were also going to have the septic dug up and certified good but the bank wants everything to go through escrow even though we have to pay for it. So we cancelled the guy and only did one of the 2 things we set out to do. I would of rather killed 2 birds with 1 trip but i guess 1 will have to do. Lloyd also sprayed for spiders! Since the house has been vacant for awhile some BIG black widows thought they could take up residency. We killed at least 6 of them 2 weeks ago, so we sent him with bug spray in hand to finish the job. The pool was also low in water so with the help of the next door neighbor they filled the pool. The pool timer is missing some part so it has been running continuously. The next door neighbor is going to keep a eye on the water level and run the pump for us. This way the pump doesn't burn up. I have a pool guy going out today or tomorrow to give us a bid and hopefully if that nice agent will let us, we will start service next week so it nice and clean by the time we move and full of nice chemicals. On the to do list is fixing some dry rot in the eaves and the septic tank. Hopefully that's it and all will be good with both of those. This agent is doing everything in her power to get us to cancel escrow. Today she asked for proof we had enough for repairs and a letter from lender accepting repairs be added to escrow. The branch manager thankfully wrote a letter advising we had enough to cover closing costs and repairs and that repairs would be allowed. Can't wait to see what her next trick will be. I am guessing if she gets it to fall out of escrow her person will jump right in and probably get a better deal since it fell out and they will want it to close quickly. I wish she would give us a deal! Well hopefully by Friday we will have underwriting done and we can finalize everything.
