Monday Oct 19th 1st day of school!

Ok folks it only took 3 WEEKS to get Michelle into school. I had to get a transfer from the Moreno Valley school she should of attended and that took 1 week. Then I had to get into one of the schools in our district. Yes folks another 2 weeks. We had a orientation last Friday and all the paperwork the day before. After talking to her counselor we got her into the classes she needed. For her senior year she will probably have to take 2 history classes and 1/2 yr of PE to finish Ca requirements. But at least she is. Tonight it was Algebra II and Chemistry homework. Ok folks didn't take either one so when she asked a question about isotopes, I was lost. LOL She will definitely have to get help from her teacher.

New Additions to families

Well as you all know we moved into this lovely house and had 4 bedrooms for just the 2 of us. Well this last weekend that all changed. We now are a family of 3. Yes we added a girl. Well its a new old addition. Lloyd's daughter Michelle moved back with us from Arizona. We are all adjusting to this. No more are we the single married folk with no kids. I am trying to get a transfer so Michelle can go to school in Bellflower where I work. This has been at the Moreno Valley district all this week and not completed yet. Meanwhile Michelle is coming to work with me everyday as we are not leaving her unattended at our home from 4:30am to 5 or 6 pm every day. Well wish us luck in this 2nd attempt, as we all know the 1st one didn't go all that well. Don't worry though you out of town guest will still have a bed. We were planning a nice lil trip up the coast in November or December, but I think that has been changed now. :( We shall see?!

More Firewood!

This is on our side yard! Is it enough?!
Well both trucks have gathered wood now. Gotta love my honey and his strong back. I lifted a total of 2 pieces.

This is a picture in my friend Bill's yard. He knows a guy who cuts down trees. He was kind enough to work out having his friend drop it off at his house cut up small enough for us to handle. It took 2 trips with the lil truck and the last 4 pieces in the trunk of my car. Now its time to rent a log splitter and get this into even smaller pieces. We should have enough wood for this year and if it doesn't get to cold maybe next year also. We do plan on building a fire pit in the back yard so maybe we will need more. Hard to tell but we will know more after this winter.
