Hallway Linen area

What to decorate the hallway linen area with?? Well our wedding bears made a great center piece and some lovely topiary trees and of course some candles.

Our Bathroom

Well we decided to go with a Maroon color for our bathroom. The accessories were a lovely house warming gift and they match perfect to our rugs. I haven't found maroon towels that i love yet but I'm sure I will soon! I'm looking for decorations for the walls also. Man do I need to go to some more garage sales!!!!!

The hallway

Well my sister calls it the hall of shame. I love old family pictures and new ones. They really tell a story. I didn't even put up some juicy ones i had. I have one of my sister answering the phone in her bra and panties. Wouldn't she be mortified to see it on the wall. LOL Ok no Missie I didn't put it up but I really thought about it. He He He. Yes I'm bad and I know it. I still am putting together a collage of my sisters for the wall. It will be a never ending wall. The youngest picture I have of myself is 3 years old. I wish I had some older ones but that is as far back as I have. I made one of me growing up from 3 years old to teens. Some crazy pictures were added so if you click on the picture it gets bigger and you might be able to see some real funny shots! If you look at me and Donald Duck, my girlfriend took a picture right as Donald Duck was pinching my ass. I have pictures of the whole family and more to come. Stay tuned!

Fire's all over CA

Ok the scariest thing was on our way to work on a Thursday morning at 4:30am. As we were driving to the freeway on the ridge North of us was a BIG fire. I watched the news off and on all day. luckily it went further North. The bad part is it burnt parts of Oak Glenn which is known for their apple orchards. The weekend before we were out looking at garage sales and I mentioned we should go to Oak Glenn and the next week it was burning. Yes all those white clouds have been caused from the smoke. The smoke in these pictures were from the 2nd Yucaipa fire. I didn't have my camera the morning we saw the flames or you would have some real eerie pictures. It's all out now but the damage has been done. I don't know why people need to be so stupid and set these fires.

Kitchen

Well we couldn't decide how we wanted to decorate the kitchen but I think its coming together. Lloyd found a couple of porcelain roosters that are on the counter. We then found this picture at another garage sale. So it looks like a country theme with red and roosters. Slowly but surely we will add more. I hope to fins some great pictures for the dining room and I know with time and a few more garage sales we will have it done also!

New pictures for the Livingroom

These are 2 great pictures that we picked up at a garage sale. The guy wanted a 100.00 but he settled for 62.00 that was all that was left in our pockets! Notice the speakers to the right and left of the pictures. That's part of the great surround sound Derell hooked us up with.

The New Bar

Ok for us its new but you have to love Craig's List. It is my new best friend. Everything here was purchased off of Craig's List at different times! I got the bar stools back when we lived in Whittier at the one bedroom apt. They stayed in the garage. The bar we picked up for 300.00 and they ranged from 1500 to 3500 new. The wonderful mirror was 45.00 and the shelf we got at a garage sale for 5.00. The kegerator was 200.00 so we did everything for about 650.00. That isn't bad for a bargain hunter. You know me I can't pay regular price for anything unless I can't find it and its a to die for! The ship picture above the kegerator was painted for us as a housewarming gift from a guy at Lloyd's work. Bill is 76 and still working strong and painting in his free time. This is part of our living room and works well since we don't have kids in the house. Coor's Light on tap! Come on Over!
